In the Dorset village of Corfe Castle, the Bankes Arms is a traditional village inn with bedrooms, bursting with charm and character dating back to the 16th century.
Bankes Arms offers pub lovers and food lovers the opportunity to enjoy a broad selection of drinks and excellent food alongside a roaring fire, cosy corners, alfresco dining and a beautiful garden where you will see the castle and steam train.
We are a pub for all seasons with a cosy bar, snug, 3 dining rooms, terrace and lawn for outdoor dining and drinking and 7 exceptionally comfortable en suite bedrooms.
Situated in the very heart of the village and only 5 miles from the beaches of Studland & Swanage and set within some of the best walking areas, it is the perfect place to explore all that the Isle of Purbeck has to offer.
With our own private car park, everyone is welcome, including friendly dogs.

Working with local suppliers, our Head Chef, Terry Witts and his team create original, fresh and seasonal dishes, full of flavour combining classic English ingredients.
The relaxed, laidback atmosphere of the pub is the perfect setting for a quick snack, lingering lunch or delightful dinner, not forgetting one of the best Sunday lunches in Dorset.
As a freehold property, our bar has a fine range of award-winning local beers and comprehensive wine list.

As a free-house, with an excellent CASK MARQUE cellar rating, we have a broad selection of real ales, beers, wines and spirits and we’re sure that you will find old favourites and newer delights. A large range of our wines are sold by the glass, our beers are supplied by local breweries, and we work closely with local distilleries for a range of spirits.
